Who is Tom's List for?

Why should I care?
Knowing peoples' ungarnished reputations helps you can make better hiring, promotion, and job offer acceptance decisions.
Why should I post a review?
-
Karma for your most and least respected peers (so the world can be more meritocratic)
-
It's easy (so you can do it during work)
-
It's anonymous (so you can share your most candid opinions of people)
Q. How does Tom's List work?
A. Go to the Tom's List homepage. Just enter any person's email address in the box on the home page and see if other people rated them, ask previous reviewers specific questions using our anonymous reference checking feature, or give your own anonymous rating to that person (you'll need to provide your email so we can send you a reviewer authentication email to your inbox -- we will never reveal your identity).
Q. Why do you keep asking for my email address?
A. We need to make sure you're not a robot and we want to make it harder for people to fluff up or down people's ratings. By requiring your email address as well as you clicking on an authentication link we send to your email, we make the information on Tom's List more reliable.
Q. Will you sell my email to spammers or reveal my ratings of other people?
A. No and No. We will never sell your email to spammers or third parties and we will never reveal your identity or attribute your ratings or reference check replies to you.
Q. What is the Peer Promoter Score on people's profiles?
A. The Peer Promoter Score is simple the % definitely hire - (% probably not hire + % definitely not hire). It's a adaption of the net promoter metric.
Q. What if I have other questions?
